On 12.4.23, LEGO and Fortnite announced they were teaming up to launch a new game where all of Fortnite was zapped into a new LEGO-fied world.
But they needed to show how this adventure is more than just another Battle Royale…
So as part of their launch, they tasked us with creating a social-first campaign that demonstrated aspects of the gameplay and brought to life Fortnite’s most beloved characters. And since we were asked to educate, we took the classic lego instructions motif and put a Fortnite twist on it.
In a series of posters, carousel posts and videos, we were able to inform players of the fun and excitement awaiting them in the game.
And the week of launch, LEGO x FN social channels really popped just sayin’
And the press kits with our posters we sent to gaming influencers were unwrapped and TikTok’ed about
Then there was this giant Loot Llama at 30 Rock (and several more around the world), that showed the scale of the gameplay. How LEGO Fortnite was SO big it could never be an actual LEGO set.
